Female dies in crash after rcmp attempt to stop her

Female flees from traffic stop and fatally crashes into semi trailer:

Around 4:45 pm Wednesday afternoon, Winnipeg police got reports of a serious motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a semi. Members of the rcmp were already on scene.

A rcmp officer attempted to pull the vehicle over by activating there emergency equipment. The car then sped away at a high rate of speed rear ending the semi trailer on Centerport Canada way.

A 26 year old female from Winnipeg, was later transported to hospital by Winnipeg paramedics where she succumbed to her injuries.
