There are a few great amps on the market that can serve as uber-clean preamp platforms for guitars like a classic Strat. Just take the line-out or fx send out straight to the desk via some delays, reverbs and whatever else you might like to add. Here I've chosen four excellent Axe-FX III models to try and demonstrate: TriAxis, Shiva, 5F8 and Soldano X88. Add some modulation and time-based effects and you're away.
