Second in a series of Administrative abuse suffered at the hands of ESBOCES. After being assigned to create computer projects for the Summer School program in 2024 - an assignment approved by the Principal and arranged by the Coordinator - I was denied having my account reinstated and gaining network access in order to work! This was yet another (and final) example of Administration going all out to deny me from working. Audio of 2 meetings with the Director and Personnel Officer are included, along with evidence of my failed attempts to gain access to a computer. Despite being lauded for over 20 years for my tech contributions, Administration was hell-bent on preventing me from working and to make sure they treated me with a stunning display of indignity.
ESBOCES labeled me as a "casual summer employee" not entitled to computer access per agency policy. Four points of dispute:
1. A FOIL request to ESBOCES proved there is no such policy. 2. I had only retired the week before after 22 years, so to label me as some random worker is absurd. Additionally, I was paid for the summer my regular salary and not the much reduced pay that casual summer staff receive. Therefore, if you pay me as a regular employee, treat me as one.
3. I was the only individual specifically assigned to work on computer projects in the summer program at that site. Many staff are college students assigned to shadow individual students and they don't need computer access. For my assignment, I needed access.
4. The reason I was specifically tasked with this work was due to the fact that for over 20 years I'd created thousands of computer based documents including videos, newsletters, yearbooks, classwork, music editing, posters and schedules. To deny me access clearly shows this Administration had no appreciation for what I historically provided.
