On 22 June 1988, a man went to swim at Perth’s most popular beach, Cottesloe, when he kicked something metal in the ocean surface. Investigating further, he discovered an overturned car partially buried in the sand. The car was later identified to belong to a young woman reported missing several days earlier –Julie cutler. An extensive search found no sign of her. In the decades to come, her case would baffle to investigators.
