Willians Astudillo mashes 1st homer in Japan 07/23/23

Fukuoka SoftBank takes the lead on Willians Astudillo’s first NPB home run, a two-run shot in the sixth inning on July 23 at Zozo Marine Stadium, but the Hawks fall 4-3 to the Chiba Lotte Marines in 10 innings and see their skid hit 11, the team’s worst in 54 years. Astudillo, a first-year import, sends a pitch high and deep to left off starter Kazuya Ojima.
