Suiso Frontier The World's First Liquified Hydrogen Carrier

Описание к видео Suiso Frontier The World's First Liquified Hydrogen Carrier

Suiso Frontier is the world’s first liquefied hydrogen carrier built as part of the demonstration project. Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) has designed and built, in collaboration with Shell and ClassNK for a pilot HESC (Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain) project conducted by HySTRA (CO2-free Hydrogen Energy Supply-Chain Technology Research Association) and promoted by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) in Japan. Shell has been among the founding partners of HySTRA and is also the operator of the vessel. This pilot LH2 carrier has demonstrated a series of operational stages ranging from initial cool down/ loading/unloading of LH2 to sea going operations using a newly built pilot LH2 terminal in Kobe, Japan. The first international seagoing voyage between Japan and Australia has completed and vessel is on return voyage to Japan. This technical lecture/presentation aims to brief on the followings,

• Project development background
• Hydrogen value proposition, it’s properties and associated risks
• Ship design and construction highlighting novel technologies onboard the ship
• Demonstration phase 1 – Extended Gas trials
• Demonstration phase 2 – First international voyage
• Data gathering exercise for this pilot vessel and the way forward.
