This is part five of five. I built a diorama / bookends for my Dad. It is inspired by a street scene in the John Wayne movie Rio Lobo. It depicts the Sheriff's office and the Milner's shop. Throughout these videos I will show how I constructed all the bits and finished it off. All scratch building, all low tech no 3D printer etc. The First four parts are really for those like myself who love to build things. This the last video has the painting of the figures and the walk around. I really hope you enjoy it.


Disclaimer: I try to make these things in about 15 minute chunks. As a result there has to be speeded up bits. I try to show all the interesting workings but it is always a trick to show enough and stay on time and not bore you to sobs. Your feedback is always welcome to help in this regard.

Oh, also, I pinched a bit of Rio Lob sound for the reveal... not my work somebody else's music.

Title screens and stills are all made using Affinity Photo ™ which I have recently changed to as I can buy it outright and not pay monthly subscriptions to own nothing each month.

The opening Animation was created using:

Adobe photoshop before I bought Affinity photo, saving 164 separate jpegs which were imported into
iMovie.

The soundtrack was created with Garage band using some of the effect noises contained in the programme and extra loud effects which were sourced from:

Zapsplat is a free if you want royalty free sound archive, which has the option of paid if you want access to more files. I used the free option.
