Catherine Ennis, Liam O’Flynn and Seán Keane perform in Adam and Eve’s Church in Dublin.

Organist Catherine Ennis, Daughter of Seamus Ennis is an internationally acclaimed organist and teacher. A member of the Royal College of Organists, she is director of music at the church of St Lawrence Jewry in the City of London.

Catherine Ennis is joined by renowned piper Liam O’Flynn and celebrated fiddler Seán Keane to perform the slow air ‘Bean Dubh An Ghleanna’ (Dark Woman of the Glen).

This final programme in ‘The High Reel’ series of 1997 was recorded at Adam and Eve’s Church on Merchant’s Quay in Dublin.

This episode of ‘The High Reel’ was broadcast on 6 May in 1997. The presenter is Maireád Ní Mhaonaigh.

The High Reel’ was a traditional music series. First broadcast on 15 September 1996, it ran until December 1998, and was presented by Maireád Ní Mhaonaigh, lead vocalist and fiddle player with the traditional music band Altan.
