Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at this Replacement Inner Member for the Dexter XR84 Actuators for a single or tandem axle with disc brakes. Now, this does use a two-inch ball connection, and it's rated at 8,400 pounds weight capacity. Now, folks, this again, will replace that inner member slide for the Dexter XR-84 components, so that whole assembly, and also the Legacy UFP Brake Actuators. So, again, this is just the inside part. You would have a metal shell that this goes inside of.
Now, this uses a self-latch cast ball latch. Again, it's for a two-inch ball. I went ahead and pulled the ball here just to kind of show you. All you simply gotta do is drop it down on the ball. Lemme raise this up a little bit here.
So, the pressure of the coupler, which didn't take much, automatically locks it in place, and then obviously I can pull the latch to remove the ball. So, again, very easy, locks right in, very easy to take out. So, again, the ball's not included, and you do have a pin over here just like the regular one you're replacing to then go ahead and keep that from coming undone while you're traveling. Again, you can use this on a single or at tandem-axle trailer with hydraulic disc brakes. It even comes with the electric reverse lockout, so that's gonna let you back up without actuating those trailer brakes.
The solenoid activates automatically when you shift into reverse, so very nice feature, and as always, you got your safety chain here in the event, God forbid, of a breakaway from your tow vehicle, that would engage the brakes and stop the trailer safely. Again, two-inch ball size on the coupler, rated at 8,400 pounds. Again, this is the Replacement Inner Slide Member for those Dexter XR-84 and the Legacy UFP Brake Actuators. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
