This film is finally on Blu-Ray and available to order at KL Studio Classics.
The GMC General in this scene is exactly the same one from Knight Rider in Seasons 3 & 4. In between those two seasons, it was painted Bright Red for a Columbia TV movie called Steel Collar Man. Then after Knight Rider ended, it was then loaned to Cannon Films (a subsidiary of MGM) with 'Argo Transport Co' decals slapped on its doors to be used in this film scene.
It even then got mudded up with a push bar bolted on (and a different number plate!) for a Season 3 episode of 'Murder, She Wrote'.
The Knight Rider Historians have managed to find not just the semi but the trailer too after several decades.
