Magna Grecia (Clementoni 2003), with its yellow tiles and earth-tone player colours, had a reputation as one of the uglier OG board games! But being a rare joint design of Leo Colovini and Michael Schacht, two celebrated OG game designers, this game is worth a look beneath surface level. Get past the presentation and you'll find a unique, engaging connections-and-investment game (qualities for cube rail fans to appreciate) that exercises some underused tactical muscles like few others do.
