Triumph T120R oil in frame Black Mountain test ride.

This was to be a 'Before' ride on this very late 4 speed Bonneville - the owner, in this case my Brother in law having reported the machine jumping out of gear. Rather than go straight into the gearbox, I thought I would take a ride and see for myself and the results are what can be seen here. I only wish I had done this much sooner, as the machine has been sat for several months, awaiting its turn to be sorted out.
As can be seen, these machines can be excellent with two original Concentric carbs, points ignition and those conical drum brakes, the engine, handling and brakes could not be faulted. Tyres are recent Dunlop K70's front and rear on this machine.
A rattling sound which developed on the way home turned out to be the rear number plate screws working loose, rather than anything life threatening, or terminal!
