Mohammad Zahir Shah, (born Oct. 15, 1914, Kabul, Afg.— died July 23, 2007, Kabul) was the last king of Afghanistan who ruled from 1933 to 1973 and provided an era of stable government to his country. Zahir Shah is hailed by former Afghan President Hamid Karzai as the father of Afghan Democracy and widely considered the "Father of the Nation."

The tomb shown in this video sits on the Maranjan hill in central Kabul.
