goldfish - Sarasa and Comets in my pond - Water Lilies

Описание к видео goldfish - Sarasa and Comets in my pond - Water Lilies

Goldfish (mostly comets, sarasas) in my pond. (Round, 6' feet across, 2' deep; It's a fiberglass tank buried, straight sided and flat bottom, custom built) There is a venturi valve (the white pipe in the background) that shoots bubbles horizontally across the floor of the pond about 2 inches up from the bottom. 1100 gph pump (greatly diminished by the venturi; turned off in the video to highlight the fish; see another of my videos to see the venturi valve in action!)
in a shoe box shaped Beckett filter that needs cleaning about every 2 weeks when the bubbles diminish (cleaning takes about 10 minutes). I also net the leaves off the floor about once per month (a live oak tree grows nearby). I feed the lilies with slow release tablets and re-pot them every 2 years or so. The lily is named 'Chromatela' and blooms constantly and profusely in the spring/summer/fall. Tropical lilies last about 3 years in my climate and I also like them, but they've gotten so expensive, I haven't bought one in awhile.
