marghat wale baba hanuman ji mandir is in yamuna bazar and is one of the famous and Ancient temple in delhi.

Marghat hanuman temple is one of the famous temple of delhi it is also known as yamuna bazar hanuman temple. marghat hanuman temple is located in priyadarshini colony in kashmiri gate Area of delhi.

the temple is near to old delhi railway station. the temple is one of the oldest temple of delhi.
it is till not clear who build this temple but there exit many stories related to its creation.

it is believed that marghat hanuman temple is one of the five temples build by pandavs during mahabharat era. in this temple. the statue of lord hanuman is about 7- 8 ft bellow the ground. Earlier this temple was locked on the banks of the river yamuna. with the passage of time. the water level of River yamuna receded and the temple went away from the banks.

according to legend, hanuman rested here for some time while he was going to bring sanjivani for laxmana. there use to be a cemetery at this place at the that time and the river yamuna use to pass from here. that why this temple is called marghat temple... 🙏
