Dynasty Warriors 8: XL CE - Jin Story Mode 1 - Pursuit at the Wuzhang Plains (Ultimate)

Now we start Jin, using my favorite Sima Yi to start us off with. This battle takes place right where Shu ends, with Sima Yi's forces chasing after the retreating Shu army. They do set up a lot of traps and such on the way there. Most notably is the flame cannon ambush. Because this is the stage where I realized how friggin' annoying these things are. See, flame cannons and by extension juggernauts can't have their main cannon blocked so when there's a ton of them you can just end up being ping pong ball'd by them with little more than a musou to save you. Nevermind the fact they have massive HP and don't get stunned themselves. The only saving grace is that they can't seem to kill you and just bring you down to 1 HP.

Anyways, playing as Sima Yi is always fun. Not quite as fun as WO3 Sima Yi, as that's the most fun to play, but DW8 is still pretty good. A lot of style to it and I love the gravity effects. He only triggers elements on his C6 and doesn't deal loads of damage on his own, but if you play him right and gather up musou and rage by using his C3 (which clusters enemies together) in groups of enemies he'll constantly have a full bar of something so you have a lot more freedom to go to town with your musous as well as safety when doing so. He's one of those you have to learn to use to get the most out of him. Oh, he can also build up a storm rush fast.
