A Rare and Controversial Equine (Introducing Reata)

Donkey, Zonkey, Zorse, Horse, Hinny, or Mule... We've been told she's a lot of different animals, but what kind of animal is Reata?

Reata has gained a lot of popularity through a few YouTube Shorts videos, where we refer to her as a mule. We've received hundreds of comments, informing us that she isn't actually a mule, but a zonkey, a zorse, or even a hinny!

In this video, we'll explore zonkeys, zorses, and hinnies, and we'll reveal what kind of equine Reata really is... :)

If you've been following this channel for very long, you probably already know that Reata is actually a regular ol' mule, but her zebra stripes throw some people for a loop, so we'll briefly explain the dun gene, which is where the stripes come from, and we'll talk a little bit about the history of dun colored equines.
