I found a big Yellow Jacket wasp nest hanging from a tree over the lake. I believe these to be Aerial Yellow Jackets since they are known to make nests in trees. At first I thought it was a Bald Faced Hornet nest but once I got closer, I could clearly see they were Yellow Jackets. This was a huge nest, and I found it in late August 2014. The nest was likely close to or at full capacity by this point in the season.
