Elidir Trail Waterfall Walk in the Brecon Beacons | Including how to reach Sgwd Einion Gam

Описание к видео Elidir Trail Waterfall Walk in the Brecon Beacons | Including how to reach Sgwd Einion Gam

A vlog outlining the Elidir trail hike. A majestical woodland walk which passes three beautiful waterfalls, alongside a dozen other small cascades on the way to the breath-taking Sgwd Gwladus, a 20ft cascade of water which spills over an overhanging sandstone rock lip.

The walk isn’t at all difficult and would be suitable for young children. However even though the path follows a well-maintained trail,
it is slightly rocky in places and can get muddy so the appropriate footwear is required.

** Please note that Pont Melin Fach car park is currently closed until September so you will have to begin your hike from the village Pontneddfechan: https://goo.gl/maps/VjDn5jjDFrxbAs2b7

The vlog also outlines in detail how to reach the elusive Sgwd Einion Gam.

At 70ft, the 'fall of the crooked anvil’, is the second-highest waterfall in South Wales. Its imposing and encircling cliffs and lower set of falls make this waterfall one of the most impressive and mysterious within the Brecon Beacons.

Many don’t know this waterfall actually exists despite it being located half a mile upstream from the extremely popular Sgwd Gwaldus.

In order to reach it you must cross the river twice and navigate a precarious river bank. Take care when crossing the river, especially if there has been heavy rain.

As always leave no trace and take all your litter home with you.
