Synthetik has been developing technology to prevent and respond to entanglement events with any gear in the water including aquaculture.

Current entanglement prevention/response methods are high latency/labor approach and require leaving recording devices in fixed locations and then bringing them ashore and manually analyzing and classifying hours of recordings.

In response, we have developed DeepSeaVision-AI – an integrated hardware and software platform that uses various data streams, including satellite imagery, computer vision, and acoustic monitoring in the vicinity of aquaculture sites to record, detect, and alarm. This data is then made available to users via a web platform in real-time.
