Customer called in with a very challenged credit profile and little money down inquiring about a BMW or Mercedes that we have on our lot. He watches me on YouTube and decided to give me a call and wanted to trade in his 2016 Dodge Challenger, that he is currently paying almost a third of his income on And still owes over $20,000 on. I suggested that he buy one of our cash cars that is underneath $3000 and wait a bit to get his credit back up and wait until he’s in a better financial position to afford a BMW or Mercedes. This call actually went well. He took some advice and he came and got our scion TC that was right underneath $3000 And will probably come back within a year after he works on his credit. Sometimes it takes some patience and some consistency and some hard truth to breakthrough to people with a certain mindset that may harm them then do them good. as much as I want to make money to benefit my dealership, I always want people to understand that whatever situation they put themselves in now they have to think whether it’s going to be good or bad for them in the near future.
