Reconquista - The Next Generation - Part 1 Berenguela

The history of the Reconquista continues! Our story begins in the aftermath of the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa in 1212. The Christian kingdoms of the north pursue the war of reconquest against the Muslims of AlAndalus. We begin with the tale of Berenguela, a powerful medieval woman. She would work tirelessly to put her son, Ferdinand III of Castile on the throne. Her sacrifices would pay off as Ferdinand would become one of the greatest warrior kings of the Reconquista. The history of the Iberian Peninsula would shift decisively to the Christian cause.
