Show up and write! I’m Helen Sword from helensword.com, and I’m delighted to welcome you to this 5 day stay-home writing retreat for writers in all genres and at any level. Whether you’re aiming to write all day every day or just for an hour or two each morning, I’ll be releasing two new videos every day to help you stay on track.

Today we’re going to prepare for the retreat by setting some writing goals. You’ll learn the difference between SMART goals and SAFE goals, and you’ll establish which type of goal will work best for you. Each day throughout the retreat, I’ll ask you to reflect on your existing goals and to set at least one new one, preferably by writing it down in a physical notebook using a pen or pencil. You’ll be part of a community of writers all around the world who will be writing alongside you and cheering you on your way.
