"Millennium Canons" is a piece by Kevin Puts that was composed to usher in the new millennium with exuberance. As explained by Kevin Puts himself, "This piece conveys its bright texture and rhythmic drive through the use of the canon, a contrapuntal compositional technique that employs a melodic statement with one or more imitations at staggered time intervals."
