Biden jokes he risks impeachment after lowering inflation

U.S. President Joe Biden joked on Friday (July 28) that he could face possible impeachment as Republicans seek another thing to criticize him on amid lowering inflation.

Data showed June inflation continued to moderate, though remaining firmly above the Federal Reserve's 2% target.

This week the top Republican in the U.S. Congress Kevin McCarthy said he could launch an impeachment inquiry into Democratic President Joe Biden, if the administration fails to provide information sought by committees investigating the president and his family.
