After finding this model on Thingiverse I knew I needed to make it! I had been looking for a lamp for my desk that would be fitting the Disney theme and of course this is the perfect option.

My 3D printer was on the fritz for the first attempts at the lamp, I think it was a leveling and stringing issue. After releveling, and fixing the e-steps I printed a benchmark print and then retried with the lamp, it worked! The base and the linkages and those printed easily!

I then had to sand and prime and paint several times and if you want a quick video on this I have one here:

Next, I needed to install the electronics! I had to run the main power thru the base and then up thru the skeleton of the lamp. This was difficult to pull off because the cord I ordered was a little large, so I had to drill it out. After carefully drilling I was able to push through the wiring.

I then assembled all of the pieces of the skeleton based off of the thingiverse model. It went together surprisingly easy, and especially after I drilled out some of the holes.

Once the lamp skeleton was assembled I added the light to the lamp bell with a pressure fit sleeve I modeled up in Fusion 360. To finish off the electronics I then screwed in the hot and the common lines into the lamp socket.

I added a few springs to complete the look of the lamp and then it was complete! I really like how this project turned out and I loved making it!
