killer highway??? daw!!! part IV. commonwealth avenue 🇵🇭 is a 12.4 kilometer long highway [from elliptical road, qmc to quirino highway of novaliches] in kyusi, philippines. spanning from 6 to 18 lanes ~~ it is the widest road in the country and a toll-free one at that. imagine the sheer volume of vehicles wanting to travel on commonwealth avenue despite of its hazardous reputation. infamously dubbed on wikipedia as a killer highway??? of the philippines because of the high incidence of the daily traffic accidents.

somehow the construction of metro rail trail line 7 at the center island provides the necessary barrier to prevent deadly pedxing at-grade level . in addition several new pedxing overpasses and footbridges are now functional for the people's safety and welfare. i wish the government would add more of these structures in the future.

with regards to vehicles ~~ a 60kph speed limit is mandated but not strictly observed at all times in all road sections due to the impracticality of enforcement at its wider sections spanning 6-9 lanes per direction. motorcycles lanes are designated but again not much of effectivity in the wider sections of the highway. traffic is still heavy at certain times of the day because of the on-going mrt7 construction activities but a little manageable now except on known chokepoints in marketplace/commercial complex vicinities.

as i pointed out at the start of the video content ~~ commonwealth avenue is a risky adventure ride/run and should be taken seriously as such. safer journey begins in acknowledging the fact that commonwealth avenue was and still is dubbed on wikipedia as a killer highway??? of the philippines. hype or not? sad. i am not too delighted with the ride except for the batangas lomi noodles. watch out about it at the end of my ride series. ride safe. everyone.
