Cymbal Bleed in Tom Mics - Shootout of 3 Microphone Types

Описание к видео Cymbal Bleed in Tom Mics - Shootout of 3 Microphone Types

Cymbal bleed on tom mics can often be a source of frustration for mixers, and today we are listening to three different types of microphones to hear the difference in cymbal bleed.

A large diaphragm condenser microphone is common for tom recording, and often the AKG C414B-ULS, or other models are used. This gives a very natural sound, but unfortunately, the cymbal bleed can be very bad in most microphones placed on the toms. My theory is that a small diaphragm condenser may be able to give us better sounding bleed and that it may save us from a lot of editing during the mix process.
