"Insect disinfestation treatments are pivotal in safeguarding agricultural commodities against pest infestations, while maintaining international trade standards. Among these treatments, phytosanitary irradiation has emerged as a promising technology that has been valuable in reducing trade barriers. This webinar will provide a comparison between phytosanitary irradiation and conventional insect disinfestation methods, including fumigation, cold treatment, and heat treatment on fruit quality, especially as related to the value it provides in the commercial supply chain.”
