Part 1:    • Making a JCB loading shovel bucket fr...

Part 2 of fabricating a JCB bucket.
First job is to get a bracket draw in cad to then draw out onto card with the cnc table for the magic eye profiler to follow.
Once the pattern is drawn, its transferred onto the profiler to flame cut the brackets from 40mm plate.
To neaten up the holes after one wasn’t very round and the other was slightly small, the newly purchased boring and facing head was used to true up the holes.
150x12 flatbar was then cut to length and pressed to match the bucket angle, the mill scale ground off, then tacked and welded on to the bucket.
An added extra by the customers request was to add a spill guard onto the top of the bucket, so that was cnc plasma cut out pressed and welded on top. With the centre bracings doubling up as lifting eyes.
The final welding job was to weld in the side gussets into the floor for extra strength.
Before painting, the bucket was sprayed with degreaser and steam cleaned off.
2 coats of red oxide were applied, then 2 coats of black.
The very final job was to apply the decals.
Hope you enjoyed the build process.
Thanks for watching!
