Mario Diaz de Leon (Luminous Vault and Bloodmist) announces Spark and Earth, due out October 6th via Denovali Records. This is the second release under the producer and composer's own name featuring himself as performer, following last year's Heart Thread, a gorgeous, diaphanous documentation of two extended electronic live performances. Spark and Earth remains equally immersive, yet unfolds in ecstatic bursts over nine songs, melding together the contrasting elements of Diaz de Leon's various musical projects in metal, modern classical, and electronic music.

Along with the announcement, the composer, synthesist, and guitarist releases a single "Cruces." The song is an energetic introduction to the album, balancing stark musical contrasts between an ethereal opening and closing, the ritualistic rhythms of the verse, and the propulsive sections of the chorus. The single’s climax highlights the dualistic elements of Diaz de Leon's sound, featuring distorted metal guitars alongside shimmering percussive synths.
