As artists and filmmakers, we have a lot of choices to make when it comes to the tools we use to create. What brand of camera? Full-frame or crop-sensor? What brand of light? Which editing software should use in post-production? It's a lot to consider. But do the choices we make REALLY make a difference in the end? Today I'm looking at two very similar lenses from Sigma, the world's largest independent manufacturer of camera lenses: the Contemporary series 28-70mm f/2.8 DG DN and the Art series 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN. Which one is better? Does one lens have an edge, in terms of image quality, over the other? Which one should you buy? In this video I discuss my findings after spending a few weeks with the pair.
