Snacking can be a dangerous thing, especially when you are not hungry. You should not be snacking if you are not hungry, or if it is late at night. That is why I am going to tell you how to stop snacking and fix your nutrition. You may have a nutrition plan in place and your meals prepped, but you're not losing the fat that you think you should be. Too much snacking will hurt your diet and kill your results. One of the biggest times people like to snack is late at night, after dinner. Now, here are some tips on how to stop snacking.

Tip #1: DRINK MORE WATER. You want to try and have 2-3 quarts of water a day, at least. You are probably not drinking enough water, so this will help you feel more full and will your body just feel more energized naturally. It will help replace the cravings of wanting to eat an unhealthy or unneeded snack.

Tip #2: EAT PLENTY OF PROTEIN. If you are not eating enough protein in your meals then your stomach is not going to feel as full. It also takes longer and more calories for your body to digest protein. This will help you to be less hungry between meals, which will help you avoid snacking. Beef jerky is a good snack for you to have because it has a lot of protein to fill you up.

Tip #3: CHEWING GUM. When you are chewing, you are faking your brain into thinking that you are eating. It can also help you feel more awake and energized!

Tip #4: KEEP HEALTHY SNACKS AROUND. If you just can’t make it and you need to have a snack, just make sure that it is a healthy snack. There are some snacks that may not taste as good, but celery is one where the crunch will help with feeling full, and it is almost zero calories. Also, if you are looking for something sweet to have at night, you can have sugar free popsicles.

Tip #5: DON’T BRING IT IN THE HOUSE. If you want to eat healthy, don’t bring junk food into your house. You can’t eat what you don’t have available. This will help eliminate the temptation to eat unhealthy snacks.
