But before he speaks about the Major OT he starts off by introducing the viewers to the CSSD – Central Sterile Supply Department, to sterilize instruments, the state-of the-art ‘Autoclave’ and the ‘EtO Machine’ an ‘Ethylene Oxide Machine’, used to sterilize delicate items that cannot be sterilised in an autoclave, such as plastic items.
Dr. Aniketh then introduces the viewers to the major operation theatre with an ‘Anaesthesia Machine’ capable of handling complications in surgeries, a defibrillator, and most importantly, the operation theatre is equipped with an HEPA – High Efficiency Particulate Arrestor filter, to prevent any microbes from entering the operation theatre. He then speaks of the importance of a ‘Ventilator’, a machine usually located in the Intensive Care Unit of any hospital, and how this machine could prevent a patient from being transferred to a hospital, as an emergency situation can be immediately and safely handled.
Viewers can then look at one of the in-patient rooms at the Venkat Center for Aesthetic Health. The room is equipped with oxygen and suction lines in case of any emergency.
