Having visited Kumeu River to taste their newly released 2024 Chardonnays, the group were given the opportunity to go down into the cellar and taste some barrel samples of the equally exciting 2025 vintage. It was a real privilege to taste these wines and hear winemaker Michael Brajkovich MW explain the processes the wines undergo. 2024 was an excellent vintage for Kumeu River, alas issues at flowering meant yields were low so if you want to buy these wines you will need to act quickly.
