The marriage between Jaehaerys the counselor and good queen Alysanne is perhaps the best match in the history of House Targaryen and that is why it is remembered so fondly in history. Their love became a legend and created a powerful partnership that changed the seven kingdoms of Westeros forever. Their time together created the most stable and prosperous time in history and saw the coming together of Aegon the Conquer.

But is there more to the match than meets the eye, can we really take what is stated in fire and blood as fact. In an age where people married for power and politics, can we say for sure that the marriage between Jaehaerys and Alysanne was not that? A political match?
