First Day Train Journey on Padma Bridge, 02 November-2023

On November 2, 2023, the first commercial train journey over the Padma Bridge took place. The Sundarban Express train departed from Dhaka's Kamalapur Railway Station at 10:30 AM and arrived at Khulna Railway Station at 2:30 PM, completing the journey in four hours.
The train was packed with passengers, all eager to experience the new bridge for the first time. As the train approached the Padma Bridge, passengers cheered and took photos. The train crossed the bridge slowly, allowing passengers to enjoy the views of the mighty river below.
On the other side of the bridge, the train was greeted by a large crowd of people who had come to witness the historic event. Passengers were greeted with flowers and garlands, and there was a festive atmosphere in the air.
