In this video I show you how even the best dividend stocks in the world can go down for a very long time and why buy-and-hold investors love it when that happens. I’ll also share some insights about dividends versus inflation. Obviously, its not realistic for a company to go sideways for multiple decades while still increasing the dividend at a large amount (though for less time it can happen), but it helps illustrate some core points using that exaggerated data.
