Paramount Ranch dates back to 1927 when Paramount Pictures purchased the land for film making and built various structures for movie sets.

Unfortunately, the Woolsey Fire destroyed many of the structures on November 9, 2018, and only two structures remain standing are he train depot and the chapel. Construction is underway to replace the historic buildings.

The movie ranch is also a public park in the Santa Monica Mountains with hiking trails where people can enjoy the natural scenery, wild life, and its history.
