Kochi: Actor and MLA K B Ganesh Kumar, who visited the Aluva sub-jail on Tuesday to meet actor Dileep, said that those who accepted Dileep's help should not forsake the actor at this juncture and it is not correct on their part to criticise Dileep fearing that the police may file a false case against them. "The greatest thing is love. It is because of this love that I came here. It is when a person is struck by misfortunes and not when is having a good time, that his friends and co-workers should stand by him. Many people in the film world have received favours from Dileep. However, they are not stop supporting him fearing that the police may question them or will tap their phone calls. They also fear that they may be criticised by those participate in channel discussions. We must stand by Dileep till the court proves that he has committed wrong. Nobody has the right to call a person a culprit till the court declares him so. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is a person who had to bear the harmful effects of the stories fabricated by the police till recently. Hence, an effective probe into the case will be conducted. While an MLA who had direct involvement in a sexual harassment case was granted bail, an artist has been denied bail. Personally, I am against such tendencies. My stand is that everybody should get justice. I came here as an ordinary citizen and not as an MLA. Time will prove whether there were lapses in police investigation. We should understand the pain of Dileep's daughter, wife and mother," Ganesh Kumar said. Pointing out that he had met the attacked actress also, Ganesh Kumar said that he will try to get justice for the attacked actress by asking ministers and investigating officials to conduct effective probe.
