In this video, we’re tackling some of the most renowned trails in the world - Trouty, Detonate, and a piece of Cuddles. These trails have been part of the Enduro World Series races, and you’ll soon see why they’re a hot topic among mountain bikers.

For this trip, we’ve partnered with Premium MTB Tours, the best shuttle company available. With private shuttles waiting for you at the bottom of each run, you can take your time and truly enjoy the ride. They’re also the only company permitted to drive through the bike park, meaning they can pick you up from most intersections in Derby.

Our journey begins at Big Pappas, one of the largest trees I’ve ever seen. From there, we head into Atlas, the highest point in Derby. Not long into Atlas, the rain starts pouring down, adding an extra layer of fun to our ride.

We finally arrive at Trouty, a trail that’s been on my must-do list for a long time. Emerging into an open slab, we’re greeted with breathtaking views of Derby. It’s hard to believe such a place exists in Australia.

With Trouty complete, our shuttles are ready to take us up for another run. We head up to the Black Stump drop-off and do a small climb up to Detonate, a double black trail with some wild features.

We then continue across the park down Flickity Sticks, followed by a small climb up to Cuddles, the most recently built trail here at Derby. It boasts two very wild features, both of which I was eager to conquer today.

We finally arrive at the biggest feature I’ve seen on a mountain bike trail. Rather than stopping and getting scared, we just roll straight in. This rock roll is beyond huge in person - it’s a literal four-story wall.

That’s it for today’s video. I highly recommend Premium MTB Tours for your next journey down here in Derby. The private shuttles are clearly the best for shuttling Derby, and getting up to Atlas and Big Pappas is a must-do. Also, do check out Dales of Derby, a place that had everything a mountain biker needs.
