Creating Demographic information in NVivo

In this tutorial, we explore how to input demographic data into NVivo software. Starting with a fresh project, 'Project C', transcripts are first uploaded. Before incorporating demographic data, it's essential to create a case for each participant or transcript. Demographic data can be imported directly from an Excel sheet, ensuring participant IDs match the transcript labels. Alternatively, demographic details can be entered manually in NVivo. This involves creating a container titled 'participant demographics', then adding attributes like age and gender. For predefined categories like gender, set values can be added for convenience. It's crucial to connect participant files to demographics by assigning them to the right classification. This tutorial highlights the flexibility and precision NVivo offers in handling research data.
