Prof. (Dr) Abhijit Banerjee- 2019 Nobel Memorial Prize Winning Economist, Dr Poonam Khetrapal Singh-Regional Director, WHO-SEARO, Prof. (Dr.) Balram Bhargava, Secretary, Department of health Research & Director-General, ICMR, Dr. Tom Frieden-President & CEO, Resolve to Save Lives, Dr. Sally Singh-Head of Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation, University of Leicester, Dr. Cherian Varghese-Cross Cutting Lead for NCD & Special Initiatives, Dr. Swarup Sarkar, Ex-Director of Communicable Diseases, WHO-SEARO , Dr. Samiran Panda-Scientist G & Head-ECD,ICMR-HQ, Dr. R S Dhaliwal-Scientist G & Head - NCD,ICMR-HQ, Dr. Arun K. Sharma-Director & Scientist G, ICMR- NIIRNCD shared their views.

The ICMR-National Institute for Implementation Research in Non Communicable Diseases came into existence on 07 December, 2019. The institute is located in Jodhpur and it replaces the erstwhile Desert Medicine Research Centre.
