The Flying Kipper - A Cerulean Modelling RWS Adaptation

And finally, here it is. 4 months of work have gone into this project, and although its nowhere near perfect, I am certainly proud. The Flying Kipper is my favourite story in the Railway Series, the same being true of the adaption shown in the TTTE series. The original story by the Rev. W Awdry was based on real events, so seemed chillingly lifelike. And the visual of the locomotive and its train plunging through the eye catching dawn over the snow stands out. I have thought for quite a long time that I would like to see the story represented in a more real, less storybook-like manner (No face on the engine or anything of the sort). This idea and the thrilling orchestral version of the original music by UpsideNow inspired me so much that I wanted to try my hand at a reimagining of the story with a few changes. This has encompassed all of my model work and a great deal of my time for the past few months, and I am extremely glad to finally have the finished product so I can get back to all the regular projects I have planned for 2023. There is a 3 part short showcase series coming soon showing the work that went into building the models and filming the adaptation.
