I review the 2018 / 2019 reissue of Takara Transformers Masterpiece MP-9 Hot Rod / Rodimus Prime. I also compare him to more recent releases such as MP-36 Megatron, as well as Optimus Prime MP-10. Even today, this figure stands the test of time in terms of appearances, articulation and good engineering. It's possible the prior issues with this figure may still exist, as fundamentally, nothing has changed in the design. However, I will say that the build quality does feel good, even in those historically sensitive areas.
