I thought it was about time I tried a local (ish) climb called 'Big Jack', high up in the moors to the north of Calderfornia! The weather was superb, the views typical jaw-dropping Pennines stuff and Big Jack was a little beast of a climb.

En route I share a few thoughts on making climbing a bit easier. I'm very much at the average/below average level when it comes to road cycling, but these tips have certainly helped me on many a climb over the years.

Any other suggestions on how to make climbing a bit easier on the bike?
