BATTLETECH: The Highlander

A #Battlemech for the most daring pilots, the #Highlander has a storied history throughout the #InnerSphere. In the video today, we will be covering the history of this mighty 90-ton #AssaultMech from its time in the #StarLeague, through to the #SuccessionWars, into the #ClanInvasion, and into the #DarkAge and #Ilclan era.

Often affiliated with #Comstar, the #Comguard, #WordofBlake and the #SLDF, many might be surprised to find out that this beast also does its fair share of fighting for the #LCAF / #HouseSteiner / #LyranCommonwealth, and even moreso is an important element in the #CCAF / #CapellanConfederation / #HouseLiao.

But I don’t want to spoil too much. A great deluge of information awaits within.

Some of the conclusions that are arrived at in this video are based on conflicting information. An example would be the reinforced legs being mentioned as being installed during the testing period in TRO #2750, where as TRO #3039 mentions that it happened post production. There are other resources used as well, but they're lost to my brain after all the digging I did for this.

Much like the exact date of Son Hoa reactivating being in TRO 3039, this may have been referenced as being reactivated earlier, but its referenced with the FC and LC having some ability to produce components for these machines prior to the 4th Succession War. So uhhhh, welcome to the canon-mess.

Also, as a side-note, FASA changes the math in TRO: 3050, and gives the HGN-732 a 2nd ton of Gauss Ammunition compared to the HGN-732 in TRO:2750. Didn't use this resource as the base-3050 has the least information on the HGN, which is the copy I own, not TRO:3050 Upgrade which essentially is a updated TRO:3039 piece.
