Aristotle | Logic | Part - 1 | Deductive Method | Syllogism | Philosophical Methods | Waqas Aziz

Aristotle presented his Logic which is Deductive Method or Syllogism. Aristotle Logic, Part - 1, will shed light upon components, figures and types of premises. Aristotle is credited as the father of Logic. Aristotle's Logic or Deductive Method or Syllogism is a kind of deductive argument having a sequence of three and only three categorical propositions, two premises and one conclusion, and conclusion necessary follows from the premises. Aristotle's logic or deductive method or syllogism consists of various components. These components are Subject, Predicate, Major term, Minor term, Middle term, Major Premise, and Minor Premise. Not only that, Syllogism or Deductive Method also highlights the Quality and Quantity of Propositions. Besides, components, the figure of Syllogism indicates the position of Middle Term in the Premises. Moving Onward, Types of Premises include A, E, I, O.
