Now we turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center for the updates. Michelle, Seoul recorded the highest reading of the year today,...are we in for hotter days than this?

Just when we thought it couldn't get hotter,...the daytime high rose reaching up to around 35 degrees Celsius in Seoul. Meanwhile, regions surrounding Daegu have topped 37 degrees, promptly receiving heatwave warnings.

Tomorrow, Seoul will start off the morning at 26 degrees Celsius while Daegu and Busan begin similarly at 26 and 25 degrees respectively.

As for the afternoon highs, Seoul tops out at 32 degrees while Daegu and Busan hike up to 37 and 31 degrees.

Tomorrow, the southern regions will get showers during the day but in the evening, Seoul will be influenced by a monsoonal front that will bring down some precipitation. This rain is expected to extend in the capital throughout the weekend. However, the southern region will continue to bake under scorching conditions.
