One of America's most iconic structures, the George Washington Bridge (Interstate 95) opened in 1931 and connects Fort Lee, NJ with Upper Manhattan, New York City across the Hudson River. The bridge has a main suspension span of 3,500 ft. and its two towers stand 610 ft. tall. The bridge's two decks carry a total of 14 lanes and it is among the busiest bridges in the world today.

The Cross Bronx Expressway (Interstate 95) runs east-west across the central Bronx, New York City and connects the George Washington Bridge with the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges as well as southern New England via the New England Thruway. It's one of New York's most congested highways, but at the same time was an engineering marvel when it was completed in 1963.

The Bruckner Expressway (Interstates 95 & 278) runs generally southwesterly across the southern Bronx, New York City as an important link connecting the RFK (Triboro), Whitestone, and Throgs Neck Bridges, as well as connecting to the northern suburbs via the New England Thruway.

The New England Thruway (Interstate 95) links the expressways and bridges in the Bronx with eastern Westchester County and southwestern Connecticut. Part of the New York State Thruway system, the road's name is a bit of a misnomer, because the road doesn't actually enter the New England region under this name.
